Who's behind the lens.

Clarity Works is led by JP, a Christchurch-based photographer working across Canterbury and the South Island.

I'm drawn to moments where people are fully inside what they're doing — when focus narrows, actions become instinctive, and everything else drops away. That shows up across sport, live performance, workplaces, and events. The setting changes, but the human side of it stays the same.

Most of my work happens in live situations, where things are moving and nothing can be staged. Being familiar with these environments helps me notice not just the main action, but the quieter moments around it — the interactions and decisions that often matter most once the moment has passed.
